Additional Information
I am 3D World magazine's resident 3ds max expert, providing Q&A advice, sample scenes, solutions, tips & tricks, 3ds max-related software & hardware reviews and tutorials. Also for Future Publishing, I have contributed tutorials and papers for Computer Arts and their magazine's websites. I am also a contributing author for “3ds max 4 Magic” from New Riders and have provided cover artwork for several publications, including “3ds max 5 Fundamentals” by Ted Boardman and Ed Harriss's How to Get a Job in Computer Animation. I have been profiled in UK cg magazine "Digit" and Dutch design magazine "D|Zone". I have also written a book on recreating natural effects using 3ds max entitled “Deconstructing the Elements” now out as a second edition which has received rave reviews both online and in industry magazines, and is also recommended reading for several CG university courses. Due to my lengthy experience in the industry, I also speak at and teach students at animation festivals (e.g. Animex) or bespoke one-on-one training for individuals and / or companies. My involvement with Animex and Teesside University led me to becoming an external examiner for the university in early 2005. I am also heavily involved with the development of 3ds max and have been an active member of Autodesk's advisory board for many years.
