vBulletin 3.5 is rapidly approaching the time where it will replace vBulletin 3.0.x as the stable, supported release but until that time we continue to support and fix problems in the 3.0 series.
Version 3.0.9 remedies various problems identified in 3.0.8, in particular a problem with Internet Explorer freezing while posting a message, and an issue relating to the mailqueue failing to send digest email notifications.
A new feature in 3.0.9 is image verification use in the 'contact us' form. This should eliminate the reported problems of spam being sent through it.
Additionally, much has been said about a vulnerability in 3.0.x related to the bbcode tag. While this vulnerability does exist, the ability to exploit it is extremely limited. Nevertheless, it is fixed in 3.0.9. (The attached file overwrites modcp/banning.php and will fix this issue.)
