در تاریخ 30 آگوست 2007 نسخه ارتقا یافته و Fix شده php با تامین های زیر عرضه شد انتشار این نسخه در جهت تمرکز بیشتر بر روی پایداری بیشتر php 5.2.x بوده بطوریکه 120 باگ مختلف Fix شده چندین باگ امنیتی کم خطر نیز مرتفع شده است
به کلیه کاربران php پیشنهاد می شود جهت ارتقا نسخه php خود از نسخه جدید اقدام کنند
